Kidney Function

• left: high osmotic pressure
• right: low osmotic pressure
• high pressure draw water away from low pressure side

• high oncotic pressure in glomerulus, but even higher hydrostatic pressure that drive water out into bowman's space

• FF same

• decreased renal plasma flow overall, less blood perfusion kidney
• increase FF

• multiple myeloma
• same amount of blood in and out of kidney (afferent = efferent)
